Core Value Implementation

Sustainable help for self-help can be successful only when the communication, acceptance, and implementation of core values are ensured.

Ues (prounounced “Wes”) Kanina is an eighth grader at Nehemia School in Pogradec. For the past eight years, he has also participated in scouting activities with the Royal Rangers of Albania. Royal Rangers is an international Christian scouting program that supports young people in their personal development, and Nehemiah Gateway coordinates their activities in Albania.

Royal Rangers learn a lot about nature and the outdoors, as well as teamwork and creativity. The Royal Rangers program always focuses their scouts on the Golden Rule: “In everything, do to others what you would have them do to you.”

In the summer of 2016, Ues was able to participate in the Royal Rangers Euro-Camp in Poland with over 7,000 other Royal Rangers from all over Europe. “What an unforgettable experience!” he remembers. “I especially liked the warmth and kindness among everyone.”
